Each year in autumn the VDP & Bernkasteler Ring members gather in Trier to auction their 'best' barrels of wine. We have been attending since 2010 and are delighted to bring a few bottles back to sell in Bordeaux
 
The 2024 Marienburg Riesling Kabinett Alte Reben, as it is referred to on the consumer label, was made from fruit picked at 80° Oechsle on 45-year-old vines and was fermented down to fruity-styled levels of residual sugar (41 g/l). This white colored wine offers a subtle and quite fruit-driven nose made of white peach, starfruit, fresh herbs, and fine spices. It is juicy and playful on the palate, where the nice creamy-zesty balance is enhanced by floral elements. The finish has cut and length. This is a great Kabinett. 2034-2044
