Each year in autumn the VDP & Bernkasteler Ring members gather in Trier to auction their 'best' barrels of wine. We have been attending since 2010 and are delighted to bring a few bottles back to sell in Bordeaux

The 2024er Apotheke Riesling Spätlese, as it is referred to on the consumer label, with AP09 was made from slightly botrytized fruit picked late at 92° Oechsle on un-grafted vines and was fermented down to sweet levels of residual sugar (73 g/l). This white-yellow colored wine offers a stunning nose made of pineapple, grapefruit, lemon, white peach, white flowers, whipped cream, and smoke. It proves stunningly focused, airy, and yet subtly creamy on the palate and leaves a superb feel of fresh herbs, whipped cream, and pear and cassis sorbet in the long and refined finish. This is a grandiose Spätlese in the making! 2034-2044
