Each year in autumn the VDP & Bernkasteler Ring members gather in Trier to auction their 'best' barrels of wine. We have been attending since 2010 and are delighted to bring a few bottles back to sell in Bordeaux
 
The 2024er Apotheke Riesling Kabinett, as it is referred to on the consumer label, with AP07 was made from fruit picked at 81° Oechsle on old vines in the terraced part of the Vogelsang sector and was fermented down to sweet levels of residual sugar (51 g/l). This green-white-colored wine offers a subtly fruity nose made of cassis, white flowers, whipped cream, fine herbal elements, and smoke. It proves incredibly complex and delicately zesty-creamy on the palate and leaves a focused and multi-layered feel of peach and fine floral elements in the impeccably balanced finish. This Kabinett is truly remarkable! 2034-2044
