Falkenstein excel with this style of wine year after year. Steely, racy, very pure and long. Spontaneous fermentation like all the wines here with no enzymes of other additives, leads to a 'sponti' nose - showing a little reduction.

The 2024er Niedermenniger Im Kleinschock Riesling Kabinett was made from fruit picked on an old and partly un-grafted vines in this privileged south-facing sector of the Sonnenberg vineyard and was fermented down to barely fruity-styled levels of residual sugar. A slight reductive nose quickly gives way to notes of spearmint, muscat, earthy spices, ginger, smoke, greengage, and grapefruit. The wine is delicately juicy and refined on the palate and leaves a juicy and finely aromatic finish. This is a great, attractive Kabinett. 2032-2044
