Falkenstein excel with this style of wine year after year. Steely, racy, very pure and long. Spontaneous fermentation like all the wines here with no enzymes of other additives, leads to a 'sponti' nose - showing a little reduction.

The 2024er Niedermenniger Herrenberg Riesling Kabinett Feinherb Meyer Nepal (the reference to this internal cask name is provided in small print on the label after the AP number) comes from vines planted in the 1950s in the upper part of the vineyard and was fermented to off-dry levels of residual sugar. It delivers a beautifully pure, fresh, and enticing nose of bergamot, lime, cassis, smoke, fine spices, and a hint of almond. The wine is delicately juicy and super complex on the palate, where fine creamy elements are wrapped in candied citrus fruits. The clarity and purity of this remarkable off-dry Riesling are simply breathtaking. 2032-2049
