Falkenstein excel with this style of wine year after year. Steely, racy, very pure and long. Spontaneous fermentation like all the wines here with no enzymes of other additives, leads to a 'sponti' nose - showing a little reduction.

The 2024er Krettnacher Euchariusberg Riesling Spätlese Förster (the reference to this internal cask name is provided in small print on the label after the AP number) was made from clean fruit harvested from vines planted in the 1960s in the prime Gross Schock sector of the vineyard and was fermented down to sweet levels of residual sugar. It delivers a gorgeously complex and attractive nose of whipped almond cream, greengage, thyme, lavender, orange blossom, and lime. The wine is incredibly balanced and mixes nice fresh, ripe fruits and citrusy fruits, spices, and mint. The finish is magnificently long and pure. This is a superb Spätlese in the making! 2034-2054
