Each year in september the VDP members gather in Trier to auction their 'best' barrels of wine. We have been attending since 2010 and are delighted to bring a few bottles back to sell in Bordeaux
 
The 2022er Ockfener Bockstein Riesling Spätlese GK was made from fruit harvested at 90° Oechsle and was fermented down to sweet levels of
residual sugar (84 g/l). It proves initially rich and slightly marked by residues from its spontaneous fermentation, but quickly gains finesse as fresh
and classy notes of tangerine, passion fruit, yellow peach, orange blossom, pear, and vanilla cream. The wine proves very delicate and finely juicy
on the elegant and light-weighted palate. The finish is slightly on the rounder and softer side, but remains beautifully light and juicy. This even has
some upside potential if it gains finesse and precision over time. 2032-2052
