Jonas is one of the top talents to emerge in the last few years in the Mosel, but this time right on the Luxembourg border. Brilliant wines, organically farmed with minimal sulphur, always so fresh and light yet complex.
The Karambolage, as it is referred to on the central part of the label, with L-Nr. 1-26 was made with an equal blend from 40-year-old vines of
Elbling, Chardonnay, and Pinot Gris (macerated for 10 days) made from several vintages (2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024) and was fermented and
aged in 228-liter used oak barrels along natural lines, i.e. without any intervention and was bottled unfiltered and with little SO2 added (30 mg/l).
Light red-rosé in color, it shows an attractive and aromatic nose of smoke, rose petal, raspberry, spices, fresh cherry, licorice, toast, and nutmeg.
On the palate, the wine is light and fresh, with notes of grenadine and lively freshness lending it a straightforward and uncomplicated character. The
finish is pleasantly long and rounder in style. This Rosé nicely combines aromatic complexity with freshness and is a delightful wine to enjoy. Now-
