Each year in september the VDP members gather in Trier to auction their 'best' barrels of wine. We have been attending since 2010 and are delighted to bring a few bottles back to sell in Bordeaux
 
The 2021er Kanzemer Altenberg Riesling Spätlese AP 08, the auction bottling with its historic inspired label, offers a beautifully gorgeous and pure
nose, which still has some refined residues from its spontaneous fermentation, but also reveals fine floral notes, white vineyard peach, candied
grapefruit, acacia, orange blossom, and a hint of fresh pineapple. The wine has a superb creamy side on the palate and it is nicely balanced out by
a ripe and candied acidity. The length is remarkable and this is a truly splendid classic Spätlese from the Saar. 2031-2051
